TUPURANGA:

NEW WRITING FROM AOTEAROA AND THE MOANA

Tupuranga is a journal of new writing that aims to publish, advocate for and support writers from within Aotearoa and the Moana or that write with relevance to it.

This online space is for voices who are not always heard, or listened to. Submissions are open to all writers of the Moana and the diaspora. We prioritise voices of Aotearoa's tangata whenua.

We acknowledge that Aotearoa belongs to it's tangata whenua, who are the rightful guardians of its land, air and sea. We acknowledge the trauma of colonisation, that has resulted in generations of cultural dislocation and displacement, loss of language, and rights for many Māori.  We acknowledge that we inhabit stolen land, and endeavour to uphold Māori sovereignty as best as we can.

Your voice is powerful, wonderful, and important. We want to hear from you and to share it with others.

Tino Rangatiratanga!
